Libertines and Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty wows Scots crowd
This is the moment Pete Doherty wowed a Scots crowd this afternoon - at a free gig in Glasgow.
The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman headlined the Recovery Connects 2026 festival in Queen's Park.
The 47-year-old, whose much-publicised drug battles have landed him in court on a number of occasions, played to a packed crowd at the alcohol-free festival.
Hundreds of fans braved the rain to see the singer-songwriter belt out Libertines classics Don't Look Back Into the Sun and Can't Stand Me Now and Babyshambles hit Fuck Forever.
The event is run by The Recovery Collective, a Scottish charity which uses music to promote recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
Announcing him as a headliner earlier this year, the festival organisers said: "We are absolutely buzzing and incredibly honoured to finally announce that Peter Doherty (The Libertines/Babyshambles) will be headlining Recovery Connects 2026!
"This has been almost four years in the making. After long-standing discussions with Peter's management team to bring him to our stage, we are delighted to say it is finally happening.
"Having such an iconic figure in the music world join us is a massive moment for us at The Recovery Collective and our community.
"With a headliner like Peter Doherty, we are officially expecting our largest crowd ever.
"This is set to be the busiest and best Recovery Connects yet, so we strongly encourage everyone to head down to the arena early to soak up the atmosphere and secure your spot.
"Let's make some noise and give Peter and the rest of our amazing acts all of our support from start to finish this year. Let’s show them how we do it in style.

He dated Kate Moss from 2005 until 2007 and got engaged to the supermodel, but they split before getting married.
