A Celtic fan was left lifeless on the ground after Rangers thugs repeatedly stamped on his head as they stormed his supporters bus.

The horror attack took place in Glasgow's Helen Street, just yards away from Ibrox Stadium, after Celtic's Scottish Cup triumph this afternoon.

The sickening attack was captured on camera, but Scotlight believes the clip is too graphic to publish.

The footage showed how the supporter was left lying inches from the back wheel of the bus he was trying to board after he was set upon.

The head of the man, who was dressed in green, could be seen bouncing off the ground as thugs stamped on him while other Hoops fans ran for cover.

The supporter and a number of others were trying to board a coach belonging to Fife-based company Eazy Coach Hire.

At least 15 fans were seen to board the vehicle before Rangers yobs descended on it.

They then clashed with the handful of fans who were still trying to board the bus.

The man, wearing a green jacket and what appears to be khaki coloured trousers, was knocked to the ground during the melee.

He fell backwards and his head was then stamped on at least six times, with two men raining blows on his skull.

He was left lying on his back lifeless as a handful of Rangers fans made gestures and shouted towards the bus.

Other supporters ran for cover as the violence broke out.

A man could be heard commentating on the footage, which was shot from inside a car, while appearing to be on a phone call with someone.

He said: "This don't look good, mate. We're in the car."

He tells the man he appears to be on the phone with that they are in Helen Street and adds: "This is getting done, mate, this bus is getting done.

"Oh, naw, look at this, look at this. This is bad, man.

"Oh, man, look at that boy's head! Oh, naw. Oh, naw, man.

"That boy's in mad trouble. He's in big trouble, man.

"He's in big, big trouble."

The man was then seen lying on the ground not moving before the video cut off after the man said he was able to drive away.

Police Scotland, Eazy Coach Hire and the Scottish Ambulance Service were approached for comment.

Celtic won the Scottish Cup quarter final tie earlier today on penalties after a goalless draw at Ibrox.
