Drug dealing suspect bailed over alleged £125k coke and cash haul

A drug dealing suspect has appeared in court following an alleged £125,000 cocaine recovery in Aberdeen.

Edward Copland was released on bail at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday, Monday, February 10.

Police Scotland officers claimed their they also found a fouir-figure sum of money following raids on properties in the city.

The 28-year-old made no plea to a single charge of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs during yesterday's hearing.

The charge is brought under Section 4(3)(B) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and came after officers executed warrants in George Street and Cattofield Place.

The police operaqtion to search the properties took place at around 5pm on Friday, February 6, 2026.

The case against him was continued for prosecutors to investigate further and he was released on bail. No future court dates have been set.

Detective Constable Nicholas Bowyer said: “We will continue to pursue, detect, and deter those involved in the supply of drugs in our communities.

"We would encourage anyone with information about drug dealing in their area to contact police via 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

After his arrest, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Drugs worth £125,000 have been recovered in Aberdeen.

 "Around 5pm on Friday, 6 February 2026, officers executed warrants at Cattofield Place and George Street and recovered cocaine and a four-figure sum of money. 

 "A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

"He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, 9 February, 2026."
