Four people have appeared in court following a half-a-million pound drug bust in a Scots seaside town yesterday.

Debbie Anderson, Paul Anderson, Megan Francis and Reece Francis appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court this afternoon.

They were arrested following a raid in the town's Forsyth Street yesterday, Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Police Scotland said cocaine and ecstasy were found by officers executing a search warrant at the property in question.

The four were held in police custody overnight and appeared in the dock today, Friday, January 23, 2026.

They all face a single charge of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, in breach of Section 4(3)(b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

The Andersons, both 43, Reece, 22, and Megan, 18, all made no plea to the single charge against them during their private hearings.

The cases against the four, who are all of Greenock, were continued for prosecutors to investigate further.

They were released on bail in connection with the case and no future court dates have been set.

Detective Superintendent Steven Elliott said: “This significant recovery highlights our ongoing efforts to rid our communities of dangerous and illegal drugs.

“This seizure also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy

"Information from the public is crucial. Anyone with information or concerns about drugs should contact Police Scotland on 101 or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
