This is the moment police cars and ambulances race along the road in a convoy as a patient was rushed to hospital.
A marked police car with its lights on was seen chaperoning an ambulance with its siren and lights activated this afternoon.
The ambulance was being followed by a white, unmarked police car which also had its blue lights on, while an ambulance van followed behind to complete the convoy.
The vehicles were seen driving along Stanley Road, Ardrossan, on Monday, April 6, before turning onto the seaside town's Dalry Road.
The marked police vehicle led the way, with the other vehicles following behind.
The convoy headed out of the town and onto the bypass which leads to Saltcoats, Stevenston and Kilwinning, before the emergency vehicles headed in the direction of Irvine and Kilmarnock.
One witness said: "I've seen plenty of ambulances in my time but I've never seen anything like that.
"The police car went screeching ahead and cleared a path for the ambulance and other vehicles to follow.

"It was so weird to see the unmarked police car with its lights on behind the ambulance and then the other ambulance at the back.
"They headed out of the town and in the direction of Kilmarnock, so I'm guessing they were going to Crosshouse Hospital."
Police Scotland confirmed that officers had been called to a report of concern for a person in Ardrossan. The Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
