Scots cops probe pub attack after assault sees man rushed to hospital

A man was rushed to hospital for treatment to "significant injuries" after being attacked in a pub at the weekend.
Officers from Police Scotland are now probing the incident, which took place in Arbroath, Angus, on Friday.
And they have appealed to the public for information on the February 13 incident, which took place at around 11.25pm.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, was attacked at the premises, in the Lordburn area, before being taken to Ninewells Hospital, in Dundee.
And officers have said the suspect is a white male aged between 30 and 40, of medium build.
He has short dark hair and was wearing dark trainers and a black jacket and jeans at the time of the attack.
Detective Constable Darren Suttie said: “This serious assault has left the victim with significant injuries. We are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the person responsible.
“I would ask anyone who was in the bar at the time and may have witnessed the incident to come forward.”
