Scots drug courier caged after being caught with £400,000 of gear

A drug courier has been caged for four years after being caught during a handover of gear worth £400,000.
Adam Pettigrew was involved in a cocaine deal in St Salvador Street, Dundee, on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
He admitted his guilt over his involvement in the scheme last month and returned to the dock today, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to learn his fate.
He was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh, having admitted his guilt at the High Court in Glasgow.
Speaking after he was sentenced, Detective Sergeant Matthew Barclay said: “Drugs can have a devastating impact on our communities, and we remain committed to getting harmful substances off our streets and holding those involved in their supply accountable.
“This also highlights our continued commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
“Information from the public is vital to our work and we would continue to urge people to report any concerns to us.
“We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to deter this activity and protect our communities from the harm that illegal drugs can cause.
