Officers investigating the death of doting dad Jordan Gray have reappealed for information on his shotgun murder - on what would have been his 27th birthday.
The 26-year-old was shot dead in his home in Motherwell, Lanarkshire, earlier this month, and his murderer remains at large.
He would have turned 27 today, December 27, 2025. And with the killer gunman still on the loose, Police Scotland officers have made another plea.
Detectives working on the case want anyone with information to come forward, to try to help them catch the killer.
Police were called to Jordan's flat in the town's Shields Court at around 4.30pm on Monday, December 15, 2025, after his family found him dead.
A post-mortem was carried out, which confirmed he had suffered fatal injuries consistent with being shot by a firearm.
Today, Detective Superintendent Grant Hendry, Major Investigation Team, said: “We are focused on getting answers for Jordan’s family and tracing who is responsible for his death.
“Today, Saturday, 27 December, would have been Jordan’s 27th birthday. It’s an extremely difficult time for his family.
"They’re being supported by specialist officers and have requested their privacy is respected.
“We have a dedicated team of major investigation and local officers working on this inquiry, using all available resources.

“While we’re conducting CCTV and forensic investigations, I would like to appeal directly to the compassion of the community: Please, if you have any information on who is responsible for Jordan’s death, come forward and report it to us. It may be this information is known in the local area.”
Officers want to track down someone who was seen on Shields Court around 10.35pm on Sunday, 14 December. They were wearing a dark jacket with the hood up and dark trousers.
Detective Superintendent Hendry added: “I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far.
"Identifying this person seen on Shields Court is vital to our investigation. If you believe this may have been you seen wearing the dark clothing, come forward to allow us to eliminate you from our enquiries.
“I want to reassure the public, we’re doing everything we can to trace who is responsible. I understand such a shocking incident has an impact on the community and we’ll continue to have an increased police presence in the area. Anyone with concerns or information can approach officers.”
Information can also be sent directly to the investigation team. The Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) is a website that gives the public access to a form to pass information, images and footage directly to the Major Investigation Team and can be accessed here: https://orlo.uk/JYZq0
