Three people have been charged over a £200,000 drug bust where cocaine and cash are said to have been seized.
Police Scotland officers detained the trio in Greenock earlier this week following a routine patrol stop.
The officers involved stopped a vehicle in the seaside town's Quarrier Street, and alleged seized drugs worth £160,000.
The operation took place on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, and was carried out by officers from Inverclyde Priority Policing Team.
The force said that £41,940 in cash was also discovered during the search, and that three men, aged 38, 44 and 59, were arrested and charged in connection with the find.
They were released from custody and are due to appear at Greenock Sherif Court later over the incident.
Sergeant Gary Arthur, Inverclyde Priority Policing Team, said: “This significant recovery highlights our ongoing efforts to rid our communities of dangerous and illegal drugs.
“Drugs cause nothing but misery and we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to bring those involved in their supply to justice.
"Information from the public is crucial. Anyone with information or concerns about drugs should contact Police Scotland on 101 or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
