A woman is facing trial accused of stealing more than £80,000 from two addresses in Renfrewshire.

Katie Reid, of Johnstone, is alleged to have stolen the money from properties in Erskine and Linwood when she was a teenager.

The 25-year-old denies stealing £82,735 from an address in High Parksail, Erskine, between April and May 2020.

Prosecutors allege that Reid, of Johnstone's Blackwood Terrace, took the money from the terraced property.

She is also accused of stealing £500 from a property in Dunlop Street, Linwood, in July 2020 when she was 19.

The case against Reid called for a pre-trial hearing at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, September 11, 2026.

She pleaded not guilty to the two charges of theft she faces, and Sheriff James Spy adjourned the case until later this year.

A trial has been scheduled for November, and Reid, who is on bail over the theft claims, is set to learn her fate then.
