Blondie threat thug jailed for threatening cop: "I'll punch your cunt in"
A thug once jailed for singing Blondie has been caged for a foul-mouthed rant with police officers which saw him threatening: "I'll punch your cunt in".
Robert Fraser turned the air blue and clashed with cops in the town centre when he was drunk.
Paisley Sheriff Court heard he was in the Renfrewshire town's County Place when officers spotted him in an "intoxicated" state.
The 54-year-old was shouting and swearing, so officers approached him, and he continued to shout and swear.
The details emerged when Fraser appeared from custody at Paisley Sheriff Court.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive way, in breach of Section 38(1) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.
Prosecutor Loretta McHardy told the court the incident took place on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
She explained: "Police witnesses were on uniformed mobile patrol within Paisley town centre.
"They received a call in relation to a male who was dressed in black and shouting and swearing.
"Police witnesses attended and observed the accused, matching the description, shouting and swearing and intoxicated.
"Police witnesses engaged with him and the accused became hostile to the police, stating, 'who the f*** are you?'."
The officers tried to get Fraser to calm down, but he continued to be aggressive and said: "I'll punch your cunt in".
On Thursday, Sheriff Kevin Duffy jailed Fraser for 80 days, reduced from four months as he admitted his guilt at the first opportunity.
Earlier this year, Fraser was jailed for four months for threatening to murder police officers, chillingly telling officers "I kill for fun".
He made the threats when they were sent to investigate his rammy at a homeless hostel in March this year.
He erupted during the incident because he was hungry and had been told there was no food for him to eat.
He said: "I'll f****** kill you. I'll put a bullet through your head. I'll kill you point blank. I kill for fun."
Fraser has landed in court over a number of bizarre offences in his life, including abusing his ex-girlfriend by singing Blondie to her.
He had previously been accused of dousing the woman in question in petrol and threatening to set her on fire.
He had not seen her in years but let himself into her home and proceeded to threaten her by singing 1978 hit One Way Or Another to her.
He repeatedly sang the "I'm gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya" line of the song.
He also had a drunken escapade mimicking that of Tam O'Shanter, from the Robert Burns poem.
After drinking in his home in Paisley, he got the train to Ayr, walking the two-and-a-half miles from Ayr train station to Burns Cottage, in Alloway.
He spent a short while admiring the cottage - which hosts the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum - then left, clutching a bottle of vodka.
And just like Tam O'Shanter - from the 1790 poem of the same name which is set at Alloway Kirk, just a stone's throw from Burns Cottage - he embarked on a surreal journey.
While making the trip back to Ayr on foot, he took a wrong turn - and walked the 16 miles to Kilmarnock.
He was arrested outside the Burns Mall in Kilmarnock in the early hours of March 8, 2016, by police who spotted him jumping up and down and running round in circles, like he was warming up for a football match.
They arrested him for being drunk and incapable of looking after himself and, as they tried to place handcuffs on him, he began shouting and swearing at the officers and threatened them with violence.
At the time, defence solicitor Eamonn McGeehan said Fraser's antics had been "with a nod to the bard" - adding: "In the spirit of Tam O'Shanter and his excess, he headed to Kilmarnock with a bottle of vodka under his arm."
