A bodybuilding businessman has been back in the dock over claims he strapped a 12-year-old girl to a bed during a sex abuse campaign against her.

Parmdeep Singh, who is known as Pomy, is accused of grooming and abusing the youngster over a five-year period.

The 45-year-old denies abusing the girl, who can't be named for legal reasons, between 2019 and 2024.

He faces seven charges and was back in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court last week for a pre-trial hearing in connection with the case.

Singh, of Langbank, Renfrewshire, is accused of sending "a series of written sexual communications" to the youngster "on various occasions" when she was aged 10 to 12.

He has pleaded not guilty to claims he sent her "a series of sexually explicit memes and sexually explicit messages wherein" he "discussed participating in sexual acts with her".

He is also accused of doing the same to her when she was aged 13 to 15, and is also accused of sexually assaulting her by touching her thigh during a car journey.

Prosecutors claim he "did encourage her to use a sex toy on herself" and also tried to get her to participate in sexual activity with him.

Another sexual assault charge he faces alleges he touched her inner thigh repeatedly, pressed himself against her, and pulled her onto him.

He also faces claims that another sexual assault on her saw him "using a harness" to "secure her on a bed there".

He is also accused of being in possession of "extreme pornographic images" by having bestiality files on a device.

Singh, who is the director of one company and former director of five more, is remanded in custody in connection with the case and appeared in the dock in handcuffs.

The case was continued until next week for a further pre-trial hearing to take place and SIngh is due to go on trial over the claims later this year.
