A bodybuilding businessman is facing trial accused of strapping a 12-year-old girl to a bed during a sex abuse campaign against her.

Parmdeep Singh is alleged to have groomed and abused the youngster, who can't be named for legal reasons, over a five-year period.

The 45-year-old faces seven charges, spanning 2019 to 2024, and is being prosecuted at Paisley Sheriff Court.

The case against Singh, of Langbank, Renfrewshire, called for a pre-trial hearing today, Friday, April 24, 2026.

The first charge he faces states that "on various occasions", when she was aged 10 to 12, he sent her "a series of written sexual communications".

It's alleged he sent her "a series of sexually explicit memes and sexually explicit messages wherein" he "discussed participating in sexual acts with her".

The second charge states that Singh, who is known as Pomy, did the same when she was aged 13 to 15.

He is also alleged to have sexually assaulted her during a car journey, by touching her thigh.

The fourth charge he faces states that he tried to get her to participate in sexual activity with him and "did encourage her to use a sex toy on herself".

He faces another sexual assault charge over claims he repeatedly touched her inner thigh, pulled her onto him and pressed himself against her.

And the final sex assault charge he faces states that he "did secure her on a bed there, using a harness".

He also faces a charge of being in possession of "extreme pornographic images" in the from of bestiality.

Singh, who is the director of one company and former director of five more, is remanded in custody over the claims.

He is remanded at Kilmarnock prison and was not brought to court today for his hearing, and the case took place in his absence.

Sheriff Gillian Craig continued the case until later this year.
