Devastated pals hail talented 22-year-old after shock death in Scots town

Heartbreaking tributes have been paid to a talented young man who died in hospital at the weekend after being found injured in his home.

Kaleb Carton was hailed as "one of lifes good ones, an absolute great guy and one of the best young guys ever" by devastated pals.

The 22-year-old was discovered stricken in his home in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

The keen rugby player and Celtic fan was found after police had been called to his home because of concerns for him.

He was rushed to hospital by medics but later passed away and a probe into his death is now ongoing.

Police say his death is unexplained and some of his shocked pals took to social media to pay their respects.

One said: "You weren’t just my friend. You were my brother. The kind you choose, the kind who becomes family without blood.

"Losing you feels like losing part of myself, and I don’t know how to make sense of that. This hurts more than I can put into words.

"I keep thinking about everything we shared the laughs, the silence, the moments where nothing needed to be said because we just got each other. You were always there.

"I miss you in ways I didn’t know were possible. I hate that I have to say goodbye like this.

Rest Easy mate."

Another pal described him as "one of lifes good ones" while a third friend said: "Absolutely devastating news. I'm absolutely devastated.

"He was an absolute great guy, one of the best young boys I've ever met." The property was cordoned off whilwe police investigated, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
