A Scots thug has been jailed and placed on the sex offenders' register for life for terrorising a woman for nearly a year.
Graeme Garrow preyed on the woman, who can't be named for legal reasons, in Tayside between 2023 and 2024.
The 43-year-old was convicted following a trial at the High Court in Dundee previously, and returned to the dock today, Tuesday, June 16, 2026, to be sentenced.
He was jailed for eight years and three months when he appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Garrow, who was convicted of a series of sexual and violent offences, was also given a Non-Harassment Order banning him from approaching or contacting the woman.
Detective Constable Leanne Strachan said: “Garrow is an extremely dangerous individual who subjected a woman to horrific abuse.
"He will now face the consequences of his despicable actions.
"We recognise how challenging these investigations can be for those have experienced abuse, and I hope this result offers some form of closure to the woman Garrow committed his crimes against.
“Police Scotland does not tolerate sexual abuse or violence in any form, and all reports will be thoroughly investigated.
"I would encourage anyone who has experienced or is experiencing this type of criminality to please come forward and make a report.
"You will be listened to, you will be taken seriously, and our specially trained officers, alongside our partner agencies, will support you throughout."
