A man has admitted trying to smuggle cannabis into Scotland from Canada after being busted at Glasgow Airport.
Kouame Jean Patrick Cyriaque Em Anhe was caught at the airport as part of an organised crime plot to flood Scotland with drugs.
The 19-year-old was detained at the transport hub, in Paisley, Renfrewshire, after getting off a flight from Canada on July 8 this year.
He was held in custody after being arrested and charged over the drugs bust and admitted his guilt when he appeared in the dock this week.
During a hearing at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
He admitted breaching Section 4(3)(b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 by bringing cannabis into the country.
The charge he admitted contained an aggravation that the offence was linked to serious organised crime.
Sheriff James Spy called for background reports to be prepared by social workers ahead of sentencing.
Cyriaque Em Anhe, who has been held on remand at Polmont Young Offenders' Institute, was again remanded in custody.
The case was adjourned until next month and Cyriaque Em Anhe will learn his fate when he returns to court.
