A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an attack on a group of bikers.
Fraser Gunn is alleged to have tried to kill Mad Dogs Motorcycle Club members last month. The Mad Dogs MC was formed by ex members of Glasgow's Blue Angels Motorcycle Club.
A grey Nissan Juke was driven towards the riders outside Lorimers, a pub in the Renfrewshire village of Bishopton.
The bikers had been at the pub for a meeting on the day in question, Saturday, July 11, and were targeted when they made their way back to their motorcycles.
Emergency services were called to attend the scene but no serious injuries were reported to paramedics.
A police investigation was launched and, during the probe, suspicion fell on Gunn and another man.
Both men were arrested by Police Scotland officers but the 55-year-old was released pending further enquiries.
Gunn was held in police custody before appearing at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday, Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
He made no plea to the three charges he faces - wilful fireraising, assault to danger of life and attempted murder, and breaching bail conditions.

The case against the 39-year-old, of South Lanarkshire, was continued for prosecutors to investigate further.
Gunn was released on bail and no future court dates have been.
The wilful fireraising charge relates to a blaze at a premises in Edison Street, Hillington, earlier this year.
The unit in question was torched on Tuesday, May 12.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with two incidents in the Hillington and Bishopton areas.
"Around 1.30pm on Saturday, 11 July, 2026, a group of riders on motorbikes were struck by a car on Greenock Road, Bishopton.
"Emergency services attended and there were no serious injuries reported.
"The incident is being treated as attempted murder.
"Police were also called to a wilful fire which occurred at a premises on Edison Street, Hillington, on Tuesday, 12 May, 2026.
"There were no reports of injuries.
"The 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with both incidents.
"A 55-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the attempted murder and released pending further enquiries."
