A man arrested over a £10million Scottish drug bust has been released from custody ahead of New Years Day.

Jordan Wetheroll had been remanded in custody after being charged following a bust in Glasgow earlier this month.

The 22-year-old was detained following his initial appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week and spent Christmas behind bars.

But at a hearing yesterday, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, Wetheroll, of Glasgow, was released on bail.

His co-accused, James Skinner was also remanded in custody at his first court hearing in connection with the case last week.

And the 43-year-old was remanded in custody again at yesterday's hearing, meaning he will spend Hogmanay and New Years Day behind bars.

They both face two charges under Section 4(3)(b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 - being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

They were arrested following a raid on a property in the city's Balintore Street on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

Police Scotland said heroin and cocaine were recovered and that the drugs were worth £10million.

They made no plea to the charges against them at yesterday's hearing. No future court dates have been set.

Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Houston said after the bust: “Drugs cause nothing but misery in our communities and we are dedicated to disrupting the activities of those involved in their supply.

“This is one of the largest drugs recoveries ever made in Scotland and comes off the back of a number of other major seizures throughout December.

"Significant recoveries such as this highlights how taking drugs off the streets is a priority for Police Scotland, and further underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Information from the public is the lifeblood which helps us recover illegal drugs and to identify those involved in their supply.

“Anyone with information or concerns about drugs should contact us via 101 or make a call to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
