Man behind bars after being charged with murder of tragic Scots woman Stacey Hogg

A murder suspect is behind bars after being charged over the killing of a woman in a Scots town last week.
Lee Inglis was remanded in custody after being accused of the murder of Stacey Hogg in Hawick, in the Scottish Borders.
The tragic 35-year-old was found dead at a property in the town's McLagan Drive on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Police Scotland officers had been called to the home in question at around 7.20am that day and an investigation was launched.
During the probe, suspicion fell on Inglis and the 39-year-old was arrested and charged and held in police custody before appearing in court.
Police Scotland said he was due to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court in connection with the case on Friday, June 26, 2026.
But the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said the 39-year-old actually appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
He made no plea to the single charge of murder he faced during his private hearing, where the case against him was continued for prosecutors to investigate further.
No future court dates have been set, but Inglish is expected to make a second appearance in connection with the case next month.
