A missing persons probe has been launched after a man has not been seen by his family for weeks in the lead up to Christmas.
James Hume, who may now be in Glasgow, was last in contact with his family on Monday, December 8.
But it's believed a friend saw him in Perth on Friday, December 19, 2025. Today, Boxing Day, police scotland appealed to the public for help tracking him down.
Officers say the 33-year-old was last seen in Perth city centre and may have travelled to Glasgow.
He is described as being white, 5ft 7ins tall, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a mother tattoo on his neck and a Rangers FC tattoo on one of his arms.
It's believed he was wearing a grey/blue fleece top, blue jeans and white trainers when he was last seen.
Sergeant Mark Ross said: “James’ family has not been seen or heard from him since Monday, 8 December 2025, however, a friend says he saw him in Perth last Friday (19 December).
“It is possible he travelled to Glasgow City Centre, to the area known locally as the ‘Four Corners’, which is on Argyle Street/Union Street and Jamaica Street, Glasgow.
“If you have seen James, please contact police via 101 quoting incident number 3210 of Tuesday, 23 December 2025.
“We’d also encourage James to contact his family or police to let everyone know he is safe.”
