Missing persons probe launched on Christmas Day after woman last seen three days ago

A missing persons probe has been launched today, Cbhristmas Day 2025, after a woman vanished from a Scots town three days ago.

Chelsea Woods was last seen on Monday, December 22, in the East Ayrshire town of Stewarton.

The last sighting of her was in the Jubilee Rise area of Stewarton at around noon on the day in question.

The 29-year-old last spoke to family in the early hours of today, December 25, 2025.

She has now been reported missing and Police Scotland officers are appealing to the public for help tracking her down.

She is described as being 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with long brown hair. It is not known what she is wearing but she may be travelling in her Silver Volkswagen T-Roc car, registration SH69 YXT.

Inspector Darren Muir said: “We are very concerned for Chelsea’s wellbeing and her family are extremely worried about her.

“I’d urge anyone who may have seen Chelsea, her vehicle, or who has any information which could help trace her to contact police as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
