Scots cops probe smoke bomb incident in Inverness v Hamilton clash

A police probe has been launched after flares were thrown onto the pitch during a Scottish League One game earlier this month.
The two blue pyrotechnic devices were launched onto the park When Inverness Caledonian Thistle hosted Hamilton Academical on Saturday, December 13.
Today, Boxing Day 2025, it emerged that an investigation into the incident, at the Inverness club's ground, was now underway.
Police Scotland are now trying to track down the unidentified attendee who launched the smoke bombs from the stadium's West Terrace.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said "Taking pyrotechnics into a sporting stadium is a criminal offence and highly dangerous.
"Police Scotland takes a zero-tolerance policy and works closely with clubs and the Scottish Professional Football Association to identify troublemakers.
"Enquiries are ongoing to identify the person responsible, and we are now appealing to anybody who has information to come forwards."
A club spokesperson said "we are fully supporting the police in their investigation to try to identify the individuals involved".
