A sex offender caught with indecent images of babies trawled social media looking for children to abuse, a court has heard.
Fraser Brown, who was found to have images of children as young as six months being abused, used Snapchat to find children to message.
And he is now facing jail for bombarding the Snapchat profile of a 14-year-old girl with sexual messages.
Brown sent naked pictures of himself and videos of himself performing sex acts.
The 30-year-old also asked to be sent naked pictures and videos of the girl performing sex acts on herself.
But Brown, of Glasgow, was actually interacting with an undercover officer pretending to be an underage girl.
And when officers raided his home, in the city's Netherlee area, they found indecent images of children on his mobile phone and computer.
Brown admitted his guilt over the crimes when he appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court today, Friday, May 8, 2026.
He pleaded guilty to two charges - directing sexual communications to what he believed was an underage girl, and downloading indecent images of children.
Prosecutor Jason Stark explained: "This report arose because of intelligence being received by police that the now accused Fraser Brown was actively utilising an online social media platform to seek out children for child sex exploitation and abuse.
"The now accused has then engaged with a UCOL on Snapchat.
"A UCOL is an appropriately trained law enforcement asset covertly deployed on an authorised investigation."

The procurator fiscal depute told the court that Brown sent a message to the Snapchat profile of a 14-year-old girl, which was actually run by a UCOL.
He added: "During the course of the chat the accused was aware of the UCOL's age as 14 and he directed sexual communications towards her."
As well as sending her videos and pictures of himself performing sex acts, he told her he wanted her to send him videos of herself.
And he said he wanted to have sex with her and watch her doing the toilet.
The information was passed to police and a warrant was obtained for the home Brown shared with his parents.
His dad answered the door when police arrived and Brown was in his bedroom within the property.
Officers searched the property, before seizing electrical devices.
Searches of Brown's mobile phone and computer revealed 459 indecent images of children, with 182 pictures and 277 videos.
The court heard images were of female children aged from as young as six months to 15 years old.
The court heard that, when he was taken to the police station, an appropriate adult was asked to attend due to Brown having learning difficulties.
Sheriff James Spy called for background reports to be prepared ahead of sentencing and adjourned the case until next month.
He continued Brown's bail and placed him on the sex offenders' register.
The exact time he spends on the register will be decided when he is sentenced.
Prosecutors have also asked for a Sexual Harm Prevention Order to be imposed, which will limit his online activities.
