A second man arrested over the shotgun murder of young dad Jordan Gray, pictured, has been released - as the suspect accused of his killing appeared in court.
Police Scotland revealed a 30-year-old had been detained in connection with the killing after Robert Clark was taken into custody over the 26-year-old's death.
But the force said he has been released - as the probe into Jordan's death in Motherwell, Lanarkshire, in December continues.
Scotlight understands that the man - who was released by police yesterday, Friday, March 14, 2026 - is a former soldier.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 30-year-old man arrested in connection with the death of Jordan Gray in Motherwell has been released, pending further enquiries.
"Jordan, aged 26, suffered fatal firearm wounds within his home in Shields Court in Motherwell shortly after 10.30pm on Sunday, 14 December, 2025."
Clark, 58, appeared in court on Thursday charged over the death of Jordan, who was found dead in a home the say after he had been shot dead.
The alleged shotgun murderer was remanded in custody during a private hearing at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
Clar, of Motherwell, made no plea to the two charges he faces - murder and possession of a shotgun in a public place.
The case against him was continued for prosecutors to investigate further and no future court dates have been set.
But Clark is expected to make a second appearance in court in connection with the case next week.
Clark was detained by Police Scotland officers following a raid in Motherwell on the morning of Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
Officers executed warrants in the North Lanarkshire town's Muirhouse Road and took the suspect in for questioning.
Heartbreaking tributes were paid to Jordan as the police probe into his death got underway in December.
