Serial rapist and domestic abuse thug facing jail for terrorising four women
A serial rapist and domestic abuse thug has been convicted of terrorising four different partners.
Kai Gilmour is now facing a lengthy jail term after being convicted of tormenting the women over a four-year period.
He criticised and controlled the women, demanded one kill her unborn baby, and carried out sexual and physical assaults.
He abused the women between 2021 and 2025 at addresses in Glasgow, Paisley, Renfrew, Kilmarnock and Irvine.
But the 28-year-old is now behind bars after being convicted of seven charges at the High Court in Paisley yesterday, Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Gilmour, of Paisley, Renfrewshire, was remanded in custody after being found guilty by a jury following a trial.
He targeted his first victim between 2021 and 2023 at his home and addresses in Irvine, North Ayrshire and Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. .
His trial heard he accused her of cheating on him, criticised and controlled her clothing and appearance, ordered her to send him pictures so he could monitor what she wore, and attempted to isolate her from her family.
He also told her he had cheated on her, sent offensive and threatening texts, threatened her and her unborn child and demanded that she kill the unborn child.
The brute also threatened to trash a hospital while she was in labour there, acted aggressively towards her, threw a mobile phone, drove at excessive speeds while she was a passenger in his car and damaged a pregnancy scan picture.
He also loitered outside her home, drove by her property and monitored her movements, forced her to send him intimate pictures, sleep naked and have sex with him.
Between 2022 and 2024 he abused another woman in an almost identical way.
As well as controlling and criticising her clothing and appearance, he monitored what she wore and tried to isolate her from family and friends.
He also controlled her use of social media, acted aggressively towards her and threatened her.
His trial heard he also physically attacked her, raining blows on her head with a metal hairbrush, brandishing a glass at her and following her, before throwing the glass at her.
He also damaged her clothing, jammed her foot in a door, rained blows on her with a shoe, and pressed his fists against her body.
The jury was told he also sprayed her in the face with an aerosol can and sent a picture to her of a trashed television after he damaged it.
He also filmed them engaging in consensual sex acts before sending the images to one woman and showing them to another.
In 2024, he abused his third victim, also accusing her of cheating and controlling and criticising what she wore and how she looked.
He also bit her privates and carried out a life-threatening assault while they were having sex, by strangling her.
And he abused his last victim in 2025, again criticising and controlling her appearance and cutting her off from loved ones.
He was also convicted of making sexual remarks to her about her friend, and bit and sucked on her body, leaving her injured.
And he was convicted of repeatedly raping two of the women, who can't be named for legal reasons.
He will be sentenced next month.
