A serial rapist who claimed his 14-year-old victim stole his sperm to have his baby is behind bars after being convicted of repeatedly abusing the youngster.
Jordan Lee Wilkins was found guilty of repeatedly raping the girl, who can't be named for legal reasons, at addresses in Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway.
He abused her as often as three times a week over a seven month period, targeting her so often she became pregnant with his child.
She gave birth to a baby boy but Wilkins denied he'd ever touched her - and accused her of setting him up by stealing his sperm.
The 28-year-old denied raping her on a number of occasions in 2021.
Giving evidence in his own defence during his trial, Wilkins, who left Moffat and moved to England after the abuse, denied he'd ever had sex with her or raped her.
He said: "That's what she says. She's lying. It's my baby but I have no idea how she's done this.
"She's done what she needed to do to get hold of my sperm.
"I'm not sure how she managed to do it but she must've found a way to do so."
But the jury of eight women and seven men took less than an hour to reject his claims and find him unanimously guilty of a single charge of rape.
He was found guilty at the High Court in Kilmarnock, last month.
Lady Poole remanded the first offender in custody ahead of sentencing and told him: "You have been convicted of the forceful rape of [your victim].
"She was only 14 and you were 10 years older. You did not use contraception, which resulted in the child being conceived.
"The consequences for your victim, of your behaviour, are long term and serious."
She placed Wilkins on the sex offenders' register and told him the exact period he will be on it will be decided when he is sentenced.

Wilkins showed no emotion as he was led from the dock in handcuffs.
His sister, who supported him through the trial, sobbed loudly in the public gallery as the unemployed former tree surgeon, warehouse worker and delivery driver was taken away.
During the trial his victim, who can't be named for legal reasons, said she gave birth to his baby after he repeatedly raped her.
The youngster said there were rumours she was pregnant but did not know for sure she was carrying a child until her waters broke.
Hours later she was holding a baby boy in her arms.
And she revealed she tries not to think of how her son was conceived when she looks at him.
The youngster did not give evidence in person, with a video recorded Joint Investigative Interview she gave in 2022 played to the jury.
In it, she said Wilkins raped her on a number of occasions.
She said she would ask him to stop and try and push him off but that he would clamp his hand over her mouth to silence her.
She said: "I kept telling him to stop but he didn't listen."
The youngster became so upset and tearful that the interview had to be cut short and resumed another day.
Speaking about her son, she said: "I love him, he's adorable.
"It is a shame how it happened - I don't think about that when I see him."
And she told how her mum "dosed her up on dulcolax because they thought I was constipated" when she was actually having labour pains.
Wilkins was due to be sentenced this week, but the case was further adjourned until next month as background reports had not been prepared.
