A shotgun murder suspect has made his second court appearance over claims he killed a young dad in his home.
Robert Clark appeared in the dock at Hamilton Sheriff Court yesterday, Friday, March 20, 2026, over the death of Jordan Gray, pictured.
Jordan, 26, was killed at his home in Shields Court, Motherwell, Lanarkshire, on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
A police investigation was launched and Clark was arrested last week, three months into the death probe.
The 58-year-old first appeared in court last week, being charged with murder and possession of a shotgun and making no plea.
At that hearing, the case against him was continued for prosecutors to investigate further and he was remanded in custody.
Yesterday, the Motherwell man made his second court appearance and again faced the same two charges.
He was fully committed for trial, after again making no plea to the raps, and was once again remanded in custody.
No future court dates have been set, but he is expected to go on trial over the claims at some point next year.
Clark was detained by Police Scotland officers following a raid in Motherwell on the morning of Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
A second man arrested over the killing was released after being questioned by Police Scotland officers last week.
The 30-year-old, who Scotlight understands is a former soldier, was detained after Robert Clark was arrested over Jordan's death.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said at the time: "A 30-year-old man arrested in connection with the death of Jordan Gray in Motherwell has been released, pending further enquiries.
"Jordan, aged 26, suffered fatal firearm wounds within his home in Shields Court in Motherwell shortly after 10.30pm on Sunday, 14 December, 2025."
Heartbreaking tributes were paid to Jordan as the police probe into his death got underway in December.
