A thug who scooped a million pounds on an Ant and Dec game show is considering suing his former friend that he threatened to kill.

Red or Black? winner Nathan Hageman threatened to stab Good Samaritan Jason Gollop and "chop up" his "poxy" pet dog during a fall out between them.

Gollop had given Hageman the chance of a fresh start in Scotland after the ex-millionaire was released from jail.

Hageman moved from Reading to Ayrshire and lived with Gollop, who also got him plastering jobs.

But they fell out and Hageman made death threats after moving out of Gollop's home in Muirkirk, East Ayrshire.

Hageman claims Gollop kept his work van, tools and clothes when he moved out.

And Hageman's lawyer, Tony Currie, told Ayr Sheriff Court yesterday that he is considering suing Gollop over the claims by launching "civil proceedings".

He added: "He wants the return of his tools and the van. These are quite valuable items.

"He hopes to secure the return of these quite valuable items."

Speaking outside court, Hageman said: "I did jobs for him but never got any money for them, he kept the money because I was living with him.

"He kept my tools, my van, even my clothes. All I had left was the clothes I left in.

"I did thousands of pounds worth of work for him and never saw any of it, I made him a fortune."

But Gollop rubbished his claims today, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 and said he is relishing the chance of a day in court.

He said: "He's having a laugh. I kept nothing of his.

"He's going to try to sue me? I'd love for him to try that."

Hageman returned to the dock at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday to be sentenced over the threats to Gollop.

He had earlier pleaded guilty to breaching the Communications Act 2003 by sending threatening voice messages through Facebook Messenger.

In the messages, Hageman said: "On my mother's soul, I'm gonna finish you, and you f****** know I'm capable.

"The police won't stop me neither, 'cause they dunno what vehicle I'm in and they dunno when I'm coming.

"They won't find me. But I'm gonna get you, Jason, yeah.

"If I've gotta stab you up in front of them, so be it, but I'm gonna finish you, you f****** little scumbag, dwarf, bent-nosed little c***.

"You ain't gonna be saying that, you little f****** dwarf, when I cut your throat and your dog's throat. Trust me. Watch. You think I'm joking you.

"Jason, you're a f****** nobody. You're a little, dirty, little, fat, grass. Watch what you get, you little c***.

"Twenty-two years coming. Watch what you get you dirty, little, snakey c***.

"And your f****** poxy dog? I'm gonna chop it up first, you f****** mug."

Hageman was placed on a Community Payback Order, which will see him supervised by social workers and engaging with mental health services for 12 months.

Sheriff Turner said: "I will give you the benefit of the doubt in this matter. I do have a concern that there were two sides to this."

Hageman ended up in and out of jail after squandering the fortune he won on a 2011 episode of comedy duo Ant and Dec's ITV show, which was the brainchild of Simon Cowell.

Hageman, now of Cumnock, East Ayrshire, was jailed for five years in 2006 for domestic abuse.

He was back behind bars in 2014 after bombarding a woman with 400 threatening text messages in just 48 hours.

He was also jailed for 12 weeks in 2024 for stealing from a nurse while she was working in the intensive care unit of a hospital.

He swiped her handbag from her locker and used her keys to steal her car.
