A teenage rape accused is facing trial accused of sexually abusing two underage girls in the same Scots town in the space of two weeks.
Liam Forrester is alleged to have forced himself on a 15-year-old and then raped a 14-year-old at properties in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire.
It's alleged that Forrester, of Braeside Drive, Barrhead, abused the youngsters, who can't be named for legal reasons, when he was 16.
Prosecutors claim he targeted the first girl at a house in the town on August 16, 2024, when she was 15.
It's alleged she was pretending to be asleep and that he repeatedly touched and rubbed her leg, placed his hand inside her lower clothing and touched her private parts.
Court papers state that he tried to undress her and pulled down his lower clothing, and did so "with intent to rape her".
He denies a charge of sexual assault under Section 2 and 3 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
And two weeks later, on August 31, 2024, he is alleged to have targeted a 14-year-old girl at a different home in the town.
Forrester, now 18, is said to have touched and rubbed her thigh, undressed her, grabbed her wrists, restrained her, lay on top of her, and raped her, leaving her injured.
After the alleged attack, it's claimed he followed her to a bathroom, undressed her again, grabbed her by her wrist again and led her back to a bedroom.
He denies a charge of breaking Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 by carrying out the alleged rape.
The case against Forrester called at the High Court last month and he pleaded not guilty to both charges against him.
The case was continued until next year, with a pre-trial hearing and a scheduled to take place at the High Court in Glasgow.
