A personal trainer has been jailed for abusing women after being unmasked as a serial rapist and domestic abuser.
Damien Harrier was caged for 12 years at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, Friday, April 17, 2026.
The thug was also placed on the sex offenders' register indefinitely when he returned to the dock to learn his fate.
Harrier, who was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing, committed offences in the Tayside area, but his address on court papers was given as Yorkshire.
Harrier was earlier convicted of five charges of rape, two of sexual assault and two of being abusive to his girlfriends.
The court heard he abused three women between 2018 and 2023 and that he met one of his victims through his job as a personal trainer.
The 31-year-old denied he'd done anything wrong and went on trial over the allegations at the same court.
The trial heard that the 31-year-old assaulted one of the women by grabbing her neck, restricting her breathing.
Speaking after the sentencing, Detective Sergeant Kelly Paton said: "Harrier abused these women both physically and emotionally and has been convicted of serious offences.
"I'd like to thank the women who engaged with police and told us what had happened to them.
"With their support we were able to bring this case before a court who ultimately found Harrier guilty of horrific abuse.
"Police Scotland will always thoroughly investigate, and we are here to listen and support victims.
"Anyone who is a victim of abuse or believes they know someone who may be a victim, please contact us or relevant support agencies."
