Witness appeal as Scots cops try to track down drivers after motorist's road death

A man has died after a road crash involving only one vehicle yesterday, Friday, January. 23, 2026.
The 29-year-old passed away following the single-car smash in Bridge of Earn, Perth and Kinross.
The incident took place on the A912 in thhe village, which is often referred to just as Brig.
The A912 links the city of Perth with the village of Gateside, in East Fife.
Police Scotland officers are now appealing to the public for information on the incident.
A post on the Police Scotland Tayside Facebook page said: "Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal single-vehicle collision in Bridge of Earn.
"Around 10.35pm on Friday, 23rd January, 2026, emergency services were called to the A912, near the Craigend junction.
"The 29-year-old male driver of the black Audi A4 was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin is aware."
Sergeant Brian McEwen, Road Policing North, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this crash.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I’m appealing to anyone who has information to come forward. If anyone saw the black Audi A4 in the area around the time of the collision or has dash-cam footage which may assist our investigation, please contact police.”
